We were very pleased to welcome two important guests at the Polyglot Group’s Barcelona office a few weeks ago.
Last year represented an important milestone between Spain and Australia; we reached 50 years of diplomatic relations. Of course, this relationship is thriving in new ways. You only need to turn to the growing number of opportunities and exchanges to see evidence of this (especially in tourism, infrastructure, and research). For example, leading Australian university, RMIT, recently inaugurated new premises in Barcelona.
As we discussed on the day, The Polyglot Group is thrilled to be one of the many cross-cultural businesses growing our European presence from Spain.
In Sydney, we proudly supported the creation of La Camara, the official Spanish-Australian Chamber of Commerce. Through supporting La Camara in various ways, (such as partnering with them for an upcoming event), we help facilitate business relationships within the Spanish-Australian business community.
During the visit from Timothy Kane and John S. Rochlin, we also we highlighted the strength of the Australian/Spain international ecosystem. A number of players, including Austrade, the Embassy of Australia in Spain, as well as the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX) and ACCIO are constantly strengthening the business tremendously.
It is pleasing to actively participate in strengthening and enabling Spanish-Australian business. The success of our work with clients such as Mapfre and Elecnor showcases the possibilities when exploring this market.
Overall, it was an honour to have the opportunity to discuss Spanish-Australian relations with ambassador Timothy Kane, Consul John S. Rochlin. We look forward to being an active player and enabler of Spanish-Australian business.
