A recent article published by RenewEconomy, one of Australia’s best informed websites on clean energy, shows an interesting outlook on the Australian Energy costs estimates.
In the latest report of the Bureau of Resource and Energy Economics, statistics clearly show that onshore wind energy as well as solar energy are clearly cheaper than fossils fuels. Forecasts show that by 2020 wind and solar installations will be cheaper than the lowest cost coal and gas installations.
New solar power towers with storage facilities could redefine the energy debate in those countries with the appropriate solar resources – this includes Australia of course.
