Corinne Bot, Polyglot Group’s CEO Attends French Presidential Dinner in Sydney

François Hollande made his first state visit to Australia on the 18th and 19th of November 2014.

During a dinner at the Aria Restaurant in Sydney, the President, accompanied by several ministers including Laurent Fabius, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, met a small group of 20 French Economic actors and Influential Entrepreneurs in Australia, as well as French Researchers in Australia.

Our CEO Corinne Bot was among the 20 people invited and was asked to answer the following question: What are the specific advantages that entrepreneurs can benefit from the Australian market compared to the European market? This is what she had to say:

1. The administrative burden of creating and developing a business is practically non existent.– Getting started as a professional is simple and for free.- Secondly, the creation of a limited liability company can be done in 2 days, and has a very low cost ($1,500 max.).- The cost of employment is about 10-11 % of the gross salary.- There is no increase in the administrative burden depending on the number of employees (no increase when you hire more than 10 or 50)
2. Risk-taking when creating a business is lower because it is easier and less expensive to hire and fire employees. The direct result is that there are more startups and therefore more success.
3. Becoming an entrepreneur is rewarding and valued in Australia.

Le président a rencontré et diné à Sydney (ARIA restaurant), accompagné de plusieurs ministres dont Laurent Fabius, ministre des affaires étrangères et économiques, un groupe restreint de 20 personnes de français innovants, acteurs économiques et entrepreneurs influents en Australie, mais aussi chercheurs français en Australie.

Notre PDG Corinne Bot était parmi les 20 personnes invitées et elle est intervenue suite à la question suivante qui lui a été posée:

Quels sont les avantages et spécificités qu’offre le marché australien pour les entrepreneurs par rapport au marché européen? Sa réponse était la suivante:

1. Le poids administratif de la création et du développement d’une entreprise est moindre:– Se lancer en tant que profession libérale est simple et gratuit.- Ensuite, la création d’une SARL se fait en 2 jours, et a un cout très faible (A$1,500 max.).- Le cout employeur de l’embauche est d’environ 10-11% du salaire brut.- Il n’y a pas d’augmentation du poids administratif en fonction du nombre d’employés (pas d’augmentation aux changements de palier : 9 à 10 ou de 49 à 50)
2. La prise de risque lors de la création d’une entreprise est moindre, car il est plus simple et moins couteux d’embaucher et de débaucher. Le résultat direct est un plus grand nombre de créations, et donc un plus grand nombre de succès.
3. Le statut d’entrepreneur est valorisant et valorisé en Australie.
