Jan Rieche, who is Polyglot’s Energy & Engineering Manager, was interviewed by SBS Radio in German, to discuss the impacts of climate change globally and in Australia.

With the upcoming COP21 Conference in Paris next week, Jan was asked about Australia’s responsibility, as the only developed nation in Oceania, to support less developed countries to mitigate the effects of climate change.

Jan states that it is important to create awareness and that developed countries have a responsibility to take action against global warming. Australia is one of the biggest polluters in the world and has to become a role model in order to show other countries that they can take action. Less developed countries are still growing and don’t have the means to do this by themselves, which means developed countries need to step up and reduce their own emissions as well as help less developed countries with new technology and also by financial means.
